So you guys know the book/movie Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, right? Yes, of course you do because you don’t live under a rock. Well, my best friends and I share a bond similar to the girls’ in the film, and we thought it appropriate to find a pair of pants to reflect that. The ones we found aren’t quite like the ones in the story, considering they don’t have magical powers to adapt to each of our bodies…
However, they fit us all! And we think they’re worthy enough to rewrite the classic tale into Sisterhood of the Traveling Trousers! Can’t you just see it in theaters now? We each have a different sense of style – from cozy to crazy – and different adventures, but we’re all united through a delightful pair of pants. So without further ado, let’s explore the different styles of the sisterhood!
Lauren:
The free spirit of our tight-knit clan, Lauren loves to explore different looks. She’s an emerging designer herself, expert at buying thrifted items and revamping them into sartorial masterpieces! Her style is much like her personality, off-the-wall and unapologetically fun. From boho to punk princess, she’s certainly a fashion tour de force.
Jocelyn:
Jocelyn is my go-to girl for casual yet classic style. We all want to feel comfortable at school and work, so embrace the cozy look! Her wardrobe consists largely of timeless denim and soft sweaters, but she isn’t afraid to throw in an edgy piece here and there (*cough, cough* pink fur coat and towering biker boots). Joce rocks understated street style; what’s more eternal than a broken-in pair of sneakers?
Naomi:
If there’s any fashionista who knows what she likes, it’s Naomi, the cozy-chic member of our squad. Fuzzy sweaters paired with polka-dots and lace are staples in her closet. She probably has the girliest taste of our crew, which is nice to balance out the edginess of the rest of us. Any day of the week, you can spot this girl flaunting a cute pair of ballet flats and a trendy fedora. (Her miniature dog Bubbles is a common accessory as well!)
Skylar (me!):
I’m not sure my fashion identity fits into a single label. More often than not, my style depends on how I feel when I wake up in the morning. Why have one look when you can embody the entire legion of sartorial trends? The way I dress reflects who I am, and I prefer to embrace the beauty of eclecticism!
As you can see, we all have varied tastes in fashion! But sharing a pair of ornate trousers somehow reminds us of the bond we share despite our differences.
